Ouch, sorry to hear, I'd would totally help you for the learning experience and all but I just moved here and only know the City and basic surrounding area. Cheer up though, it builds character and I imagine you are getting paid so yeah, Smile Big :)

I moved to Vancouver from L.A. to go to school, cause tuition is significantly cheaper up here. All in all Vancouver is a bitch town with lots of obnoxious hipsters trying to pretend they're from L.A., NO semblance of anything even resembling a respectable punk scene, and everyone else just seems like a bland gray windbreaker walking past me...but the bud is cheap, I can see amazing snow-capped mountains from my house, and the sushi and Indian food is cheap and delicious. In general though, west coast YEAH!

Also the Canucks NEVER WIN!
Even the Anaheim Ducks beat them, and like...3 people follow that team.
