just wondering what would be the worst way to die ? I have seen many death's and I think I have now seen the worst way to die , what does every one else think it could be ?
granted this isn't necessarily the goriest or most violent, i think falling off something really tall would suck the worst, assuming you don't pass out before you hit the ground. having to watch yourself fall to your death would suck harder than anything else for sure

well I recovered a body last weekend from a sewerage pit , the fitter had been repairing a grate when it gave way and he fell into 3 meter's of shit , he had been in therer trying to keep his head above the shit for about 8 hours before he drowned :( not a very nice way to go if you ask me , my ambulance uniform still smells like shit and I have washed it twice .

about 12 ours before anyone found him , he had arranged a lift home with another mate so his usual ride was not concerned when he did not show up at knock off time .

just think of the fun you could have on the way down :) me I'd be flapping my arms like crazy just in the off chance that someone saw me , it would do their head in trying to figure out what I was doing :)
I think the worst way to go would be decapitation.
I met this cop at a psychiatrist's office when I went with a buddy to be his extra support for some shit he was going through. We started talking a little bit and he was telling me he has been seeing this phych for the last 8 years. I asked why and he said he responded to an accident where a little two seater convertible somehow got under a tractor trailer and both spun together, the truck jack knifed and smashed a guardrail. He was first on the scene and he said the couple in the little car were both decapitated. One of the heads was like twisted around upside down and hanging on the neck by a thread of skin or muscle and the other was on the dash above the wheel.
The cop said he could never go on an accident scene again after that and he still has night terrors and he still wakes up screaming a lot from that graphic image he saw.

I allways thought decapitaion would be rather quick and painless , the thing I was allways afraid of was being burned to death , ouch can't think of anything more painful than that .
Supposedly, a person can stay alive for a few seconds after being decapitated.
Although, I would imagine it depends on where the head is severed. If the brain stem is severed, that's probably insta-kill, but if it's just the spinal cord that's severed you might have a few moments before actual brain death.
It would be an interesting experience, to say the least...
