wMy hairstyles over the decades from crew cut to mohawk

Just thought it fun to note the different hairstyles I've had over the years. As a kid, in the 40's, I worn my hair parted with lots of goo to keep it in place. (Leave it to Beaver) In the 1950's, I had an "in" crew cut, but also was a little rebellious sporting a "DA" (ducktail and pompador like Elvis) At the time it was radical and some people thought I must be in a gang or band. (sound familiar?) 1960's saw me with longer hair covering my ears (The Beatles) and for a while a ponytail! 1970's still had longish hair and a large moustache. 1980's saw me with a short buzz cut, though I would loved to have had a mohawk, then super radical coming from English Punk influence. But my work would not allow it. 1990's my head was shaven and with a goatee, pretty common nowadays.. Not common for someone my age, I finally did my fauxhawk and mohawk last year after I retired. A long wait, but as you can see, men's radical hairstyles have appeared through the decades. Who knows what will be the next extreme hairstyle for young people during the "teens" decade???? I wouldn't be surprised if there was a return to very long hair or even more 1940's celebrity styles like Brad Pitt had recently with short parted hair and cool small moustache! But I think mohawks will still be there for those individuals wanting set themselves apart for whatever reason. Also, I don't know of a hairstyle that has so many variations. These comments were not so much a discussion, but an observation I wanted to share. So do your thing, you can wear your hair about any way you want in 2009!
