Mohawks Rock

Hi

So i'm new here and fairly new to having a mohawk and while i've dyed it different colours, never 2 at once, so i'm venturing out into new territory and could really use some help.

How would i go about dying it 2 colours? is there any particular way to do it? any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks :)

Depends on how you want to do it. 2 things pop to mind; zebra stripes or colored sides. Theres many more dyeing patterns, but these are what I'm assuming your gonna do.

Zebra Stripes: I've done them before, you dye one section, wrap it in tin foil, dye the next the different color, wrap it in tin foil, etc.

Colored Sides: Dye your hawk, rinse it out, dye one side of your head and flip your hawk to the other side so you dont get dye on it, rinse it out, dye the other side, then wash your hair with shampoo/conditioner

That's great Thanks, i think i'll go Zebra Stripes, if my sister can cope with that. should be ok, hopefully
Like Steve said, you just use foil to keep the colors separated. Depending on the colors/patterns your using it can sometimes be best to try and rinse each color out separately so they don't bleed together. Darker colors tend to bleed into lighter colors if your not careful.

Well i was going to go with Red and Purple, would there be much of a bleeding problem there?

Thanks

just depends on the dye and your hair really, since they are similar tones they wont show much if they do bleed together. when you first rinse them out just try to keep the colors separate as much as you can and that will help each color be vibrant on its own instead of muttled together :)
Alright thats great, how would you go about rinsing them separate? just be really careful?
If you have a hard time doing it yourself ask a friend to help you, bend over the tub and have them rinse the colors out separately. If your doing it yourself just remember where you have the colors and feel for where they are separated. Example: I usually dye my fringe/bangs a different color from my mohawk so when I rinse it out in the shower I wash my hawk out first then turn around and wash my fringe/bangs out since I can feel where I have my bangs parted from my hawk i don't end up mixing them.

I had help from a friend, after bleaching she just put my hair into a center parting and used clips to stop one side lifting/flipping over while she applied the colour then added the 2nd colour, and boom done!

Wow thats awesome! when its up do the colours stay nicely either side or do they like cross over if you get what i mean?
Thanks Everyone for the help, it turned out ok could do with a bit more vibrancy but i still love it
Looks red with a few darker parts, what'd ya go with?
