Mohawks Rock

So I came across this site while researching options for thinning hair, none of which I found to be very helpful to me. It is what it is...I am older and my genetic history tells me that I will likely be a bald man at some point...such a cruel thing:)  I just want to avoid that for as long as I can. I can still rock the hawk, but it is getting to the point where I need to figure something out. When the hawk is up it is fine albeit a lot thinner then it has ever been.  When it is down it is a ball cap or dew rag for me as I am very thin on the crown of my head.  Any hair dressers or others that have  have knowledge that may be helpful is saving the hawk?

All I can tell you Jeff is what I am using......I use Nioxin for shampoo and conditioner as well as the Nioxin Scalp Treatment....mind you I have been using these for 20 years now, but I think they have helped a lot.

I also take Hair Genesis Advanced Hair Revitalizing Formulation capsules, and Hair Genesis TrichoCeutical Activator Serum.....these I have been taking for about 1 1/2 years now. I think they help promote growth.

I also take a womens multivitamin, yes womens, as they have more folic acid which helps promote hair and nail growth. I also take B6 & B12 with folic acids tablets and straight folic acid tablets in 800mcg, as well as Biotin tablets in 5000mcg. These all help skin, nail, and hair development.

Finally, I take one Nutricap capsule every day.....these promote hair and nail growth and development.

You can Google Hair Genesis and Nioxin to find out more as well as the rest of the items. I'm not going to swear they work wonders, but I think they are helping.

Good luck! :-)

I've noticed that eating healthier has allowed my hair to grow back thicker. I used to have really thin hair before I started taking daily vitamins.

thats pretty much all I got though... as a 22 year old woman I've never had to worry about going bald.

unless you think most of your hair loss is coming from damaged hair instead of genetics, I can't really help you out too much :[
