Do you celebrate it for the religious aspects, or just for the green beer?

hmm, personally a few reasons, te color green makes me wanna have fun, i like teh booze, i like having fun, i like celebrating nd partying nd it's just one more excuse to do all teh above haha and of course ter's teh reason of pinching people tat's fun to and i always have somethin green

I get pretty excited about it, mum makes traditional irish food all day, and at school I make a big fucking deal about whomping on the kids who aren't wearing green.

I celebrate it cuz I'm Irish. There's a religious aspect to it! I dye my hair green every year.

no one gives a shit about saint patrick these days, he wasnt irish, he brounght CHRISTIANITY to ireland and in my oppinion christianity is a load of balls i dont celebrate it although i have been to parades when i was younger. i could get drunk whenever i like i dont need an excuse. i also dont celebrate it cos there tends to be loads of people spinnin shit on the streets and startin fights and since i live in a really loyalist part of belfast its not so easy to celebrate etc etc.
