can i ask you something without you pms'ing on me?
i see why you don't like fashion punks. i dont like them myself, but this page is nearly 99% fashion punks so why bother hanging around with the filth if they piss you off? it can't be good for your health.
it sucks to see the punk culture slowly depriving because no one cares anymore, and even worse when people say you're not a part of the sub culture if you dont have a hawk. but they're probably 15 year old closet emo's so i dont give a fuck what they say.
sometimes it feels like tattoo's, piercings and hair has become a fetish amongst the punks. that kind of stuff is luxury in my opinion, i can't do any of these things because a) my mother would throw me out(i'm broke, can't move out) b) i can't afford tattoos and c) i don't like people sticking needles in me.
i've thought of that many times, what the hell i'm doing here.
i guess i'm just bored.
You are a fucking idiot, what kind of fool wouldn't talk to the people living there before invading there house!?
The squatters all left because the junkies came and destroyed the house.
Im here cause its funny. When I hear these people talk about poverty or police brutality or anarchy I laugh at them cause thats what they are a joke. But your completely right about the whole fashion aspect. I have a leather jacket not to look punk but because its durable, warm, waterproof, and it never gets dirty. Alot of punk ''fashion'' has more to do with being practical than being rebellious. DIY because you have to not cause its trendy. Most of punk kids I know do have a fair amount of tattoos though myself included but were also good friends with and often live with tattoo artist. So what would cost you $120 cost me $40. As far as hair mohawks are too expensive when mine gets too long I get scissors hand them to the closet person and say cut it off. The crew I hangout with were poor kids by poor I mean we make our own clothes so we have enough money to buy food and beer. We dont give a fuck how we look we do what works.
i agree, but i still dont think punks dead(about your other thread). im clinging on to that last string of hope i got by seeing that there is at least one person here that agrees with me, haha. that sounded pathetic, but i do.
nono, didn't mean it that way. i like tattoos and piercings i just can't afford them, and they shouldn't be something you got to have to be punk.
and you're right about punk fashion being more practical than rebellious. i think i heard somewhere johnny rotten started ripping his clothes to protest against all the garbage that had started piling up around the city. "we live in trash, therefore we dress in trash" anyway, earlier punk bands didn't dress like trash because punk wasn't fashion, it became fashion because of the hords of teenagers who liked to dress like their heroes. ah, i hate punk rock stars. Brody Dalle sucks.
i don't mind the punk fashion, it's just annoying that it's the only thing that falls into peoples minds when they hear the word "punk".
Alright since you appear somewhat rational Ill attempt to explain the punk is dead post. The deeper meaning behind it(besides pissing off the ''punks'' on here) is that the people on this site wouldnt know wether punk was dead or alive. They dont even know what the fuck it is. Theres no connection between them and punk as a sub-culture or as a political movement. So its dead to them.
thats what i thought when i read it too, i just had to be sure that wasnt a stupid statement from one of those crass punks.
"punks dead! ..oh, wait. thats us!"
crass have a lot of good songs, but they didn't consider themselves punk.
but maybe the song was ironic, like your post. who knows.

Don't know about your laws, but bear in mind if the pigs want you out they'll just do it! (if there like the English police anyway). Of course you could then try and fight it, but it's tuff. They'll only bother if it's owned by rich or company who wants it back. From my experience of squats here DO not fuck the neighbours off! If anything (if your doing a veg patch) open it up to the community. That way it becomes a community project and you have more people on your side to save it if it came to court.
Are there any girls with you?
