Mohawks Rock

In short, I got a job. Its a work placement through my college course, a really good one, but they want me to cut off the hawk because I'll be dealing with their clients. I have come to terms with this. The job is more important than the hair.

My question is, what do i do with my hair for the next six months? I want to be able to shave the sides off and get my hawk back as soon as the placement is over! But I can't just go 6 months with no haircut at all.

Its been growing unchecked since mid December, so I have about 3/4 of an inch on the sides, and about the same of colourless roots.

Any ideas?

sucky dude but its life
Trim the middle portions to try to match the sides a little by little, then when you are ready you will have hair to shave again.
Keep it as long as you can, you can comb it back for work and lib spike it when you go out. If your itching for color try blue black or a naturalish shade of red?
Hair tattoos (designs) n shit

I had a similar situation with work, well, they didn't ask, but I knew they wouldn't accept it, so I shaved it bald, let it grow in as stubble and was a skin-head for the first couple months.  haha

Can you not brush and split your hawk to both sides?  And keep the sides fairly short?  You might have to cut the 'hawk down a couple inches, depending.  But may be acceptable enough to work that way and it lets you keep it and put it up on off days.

This idea works for me as a girl but im not to sure how good it would look on a guy. When i do it it looks like I have a blonde
"bob"

Yeah, it looks hilariously bad when I try it.

My mum just emailed me a bunch of links to fauxhawks and shit. Fuck that noise.
