Prom, yea, I want help on a dress. -_-

So. I don't wear dresses. They annoy me. But, I have prom coming up in may(I think that's when it is? but like every girl I know already has her dress and a date, so I was like fuck, maybe I should get on top of this) and I intend to wear a dress, I was contemplating wearing a tux just to bother some people, haha, but now my grandparents who haven't seen me in 7 years and think I'm still their little princess are gunna be paying for it, sooo I don't wanna give them too many heart attacks in a row with the mohawk and piercings etc...

Anyways my problem being, where do you buy prom dresses? Seriously? I'm clueless, and like how do you know it's "fancy" enough, haha. I feel so clueless. Please help me!

This is the dress I made for my boyfriend's prom last year.It took me about 3 months,and a large amout of coffee & cigarettes. The corset was the hardest part, but once I got it all attached it worked out deadly. If you're into hardcore diy (like myself) and you have the patiencea you should totally try and make one yourself. As for where to find a dress, try ebay a few people I know have gotten awesome dresses there.
if you do wear a tux, that'd be sickkkk.

Awesome picture! That rocks!
I recently went to a formal dancing event with my girlfriend. My girlfriend spotted her mohawk, a bright green dress, studded bracelet, and her 14 hole steel toed boots. I also had my mohawk, colored in green, tuxedo, plus my trademark boots!
If you go to prom, wear a nice dress, definitely wear the mohawk, and put on your boots!

Well one of my friends went to her prom in a green plaid dress ( very irish woman lol ) with D-rings on it, it was pretty cool

thats me and my friend at grad, me being the one with the blue hawk ^_^ hells yes.
yeah my boyfriends mom made that dress and the fabric was only 50bucks and it was super hot/d.i.y
..the best part of d.i.y is it can loook however YOU want... id go for one made for me anyday over soemthing bought in a store

and as you can see my dress was pretty not fancy haha
