I would of said something. How can one be deemed unprofessional because of a haircut. Some of the smartest people I know have Mohawks and or have piercings and tattoo's
Well in a decade or so we will be making the rules. It will be us at the top of the corporate ladder. So we won't have to deal with that bullshit anymore.
I still say we are smarter too. Just cause we're different doesn't mean we are stupid. And yeah we could pretty much kick most of their asses anyways lol
yeah, thats the right attitude! its the same for me! I am a successful entrepreneur and I have had a lot of people underestimate me because of my hair or because of the clothes i wear. It is actually fun to play with stuffed up people who dont have any creativity and self confidence
In regards to growing it from scratch... I cheated. :P Every time I've ever done my mohawk it's been from an already long hairstyle. I'm glad I did it that way though, it made it to where I can wear it down and it not look so strange, and it also lets me experiment with colors and actually see a difference.
But every time I've gone out with it up I always get the stares, glares, and giggles. Every now and then I get people who comment about it (exiting the Chinese restaurant with friends, we're on the sidewalk messing around, talking and whatnot. Cop pulls up and everyone thinks simultaneously "Shit, he's gonna get onto Jorrie(me) for something, anything. The cop looks at me and goes, "How did you get your hair up like that? It looks good, I was just stopping to get a better look and tell you what I thought". You can say what you want, but that old cop is awesome). I constantly get little kids going "WHOA!". One kid said I looked like fish today at Aldi's. I chuckled. I'm normally a quiet person and not very outgoing at all, but with my mohawk, fanned and all, I feel so much more confident. It's like the secret me I've been keeping in for years is just bursting at the seams to come out and the mohawk was the one morale boost to do it.
Corny as it sounds, the mohawk has changed me. And I like the change. (MWAHAHAHA!)
PS- This is totally off-topic but I'm gonna throw it out there while I'm here. I'm currently experimenting with colors so any ideas/advice/words of wisdom are very much welcome.
I probably should, but I don't wanna go spamming with a bunch of useless discussions when I could've just talked to a couple people here. And yeah, that guy was pretty awesome. :D
