same thing happend to me, hit over 12 inches, decided to cut it down a bit, its still prety long(about 7 inches) but it took about a week to get used to not having it that long. (im still undecided if i liked the idea or not haha)

i want to cut mine a little shorter, but that is why i can't bring myself to do it. afraid i'll hate it if i do
