Mohawks Rock

Sorry if this has been discussed already I'm doing this on my mobile phone so the search feature sucks.

Anyway I've been checking out this site for a few days looking for my answer, couldn't really find it. I'm not punk, I'm not "gangsta", I'm not anything, I've just completed a fundraiser which has raised over $800 for breast cancer awareness but I have to get a pink mohawk for October in order to complete my end of the bargain. I have medium length hair now but was wondering what the "relatively easier" mohawk styles I could rock. I'm willing to pretty much do whatever with my hair...it'll grow back.

Anyway, thanks for your help. Have a great day.

If your just wanting a 'hawk for the breast cancer thing and don't plan on having it as an actual hairstyle for a while: hold your hair up with a comb and hit it with hairspray (I vouch for got2b freeze spray) and blowdry. Move onto next section and do the same.

If you have any gaps then just hold them close together and spray/blowdry em into place.

Thanks for the input. Part of the deal was that I do have to shave my head, so I can't do faux hawks or what not. Which doesn't bother me since I'll be shaving my head in the near future for a friend who is going to have chemotherapy.
If that is the case, I would use a pair a clippers with a hefty guard on them. The hair will be shaved, but you can reduce the time you are growing your hair back too.
If you will be taking it all off anyway then i vote just shave it all the way down and leave a relatively short hawk. A short hawk (maybe 5" or less?) will be easier for you manage since you wont have it for that long anyway. Not leaving any length on the sides will also make it easier to put up. If you don't have a friend who knows how to cut your hawk for you then just look into a barber shop that does mohawks.
