Yeah I found it depends on the writers too. Jeph Loeb does a lot of experimental and psychedilic stories. He also likes to do rewrites of character's history. I'm pretty sure it was Loeb who did the Superman:Emperor Joker story arc. But Marvel did that with its "What IF" series. Oh and the Marvel Zombies. My only concern is that both major brands are doing too many cross title epics right now. Like DC just finished Final Crisis when a year or two ago there was infinite crisis. But Marvel has been getting a little carried away with it. First there was the M stuff (House of/ Decimation ), then Civil War, then it went into World War Hulk, Then Massiah Complex, then Secret Invasion, now they are doing I think its called "War of the Kings" Its hard for me to keep up since I mainly do Graphic Novels and Collections.
i've put more thought into this and yea i like marvel better.
i like dc but i mostly just like batman.
marvel just has more stuff that i like to read.
like x-men, avengers, fantastic four, etc.
i mean some of the story lines are pretty convoluted, but it's still fun.
