Mohawks Rock

First off...Hello all, I'm new to the website and a mohawk enthusiast. I've had my mohawk for 3 months or so...I love it most days. It was a huuuuuuge change for me, I had hair down to my butt and then I just decided to get rid of it. But I have always loved mohawks and it'll grow back so it's whatever.

Since I've had my hawk my self esteem has gone up, it's super liberating I guess, and I think mohawks just bring on confidence...maybe that's just me. Anyways most days I'm confident. But since I got rid of my long hair, not to many guys seem to be interested...

So just curious...anyone, guys and girls, have trouble meeting people (relationship wise) because of your mohawk?

Girls, do you think guys are intimidated by it? Idk...just some stuff that's been on my mind...

i have major issues with meeting people lol, also mohawks on girls=win
Yeah I agree about the assholes thing. So many guys I met when I had "more feminine" hair were such jerks. So far though I haven't gotten any negative comments, I've actually gotten tons of complements from guys and girls...but Idk. I wish more guys liked girls with mohawks...I have always loved mohawks...so for all you guys...

guys with mohawks = win lol
I agree with both of you. Self esteem's being going up too, ever since I switched over to an "unusual hairstyle".
I've had dreadlocks before and got more attention then, relationwise, than I did with my normal hair. And it's still the same with the hawk now. Guess the nicer guys usually prefer girls that look some different haha. At least from my experience.
I noticed that I have had more attraction towards me now, than before I had my mohawk. As well as some unwanted patronizing.
why cant you all live here :(
What he said.
Pfft. Why can't YOU guys live HERE.
Strangely enough when I was out yesterday some guy complimented my hair....so maybe it just takes the nice guys longer to make moves lol.
Ive been with my boyfriend, Eliott, for quite sometime and got my mohawk after we started dating. He loves it. (He helps me shave it and all sorts of super cute things). So I (obviously) haven't had a problem with meeting guys. But back in the day when I had a full head of hair, guys would hit on me alllll the time. Now, I still get guys hitting on me, but only every now and then. It's seems to put up this big asshole barrier... the people who really care and want to know me do, and the ones who don't just leave me alone. Its worked out really well for me. So don't let it hinder your confidence, you're just narrowing the search. ;]

If you're looking for that "someone special", my advice is just to let it happen. The best relationships happen naturally. The person that's the peanut butter to your jelly should love you for who you are- mohawk included.
I totally agree that the best relationships just sort of happen. Whenever you are looking for someone you never find anyone...and then when you're like 'Ah fuck it.' someone just happens along. I broke up with my boyfriend maybe 6 months ago? (Key phrasing I broke up with him) And I'm at the stage where I want another guy around.

Boy crazy lol.

When your boyfriend shaves the sides of your head to keep your mohawk looking good - That's true love. Lol.
Mmhmm. The creepy forced "i barely know you" ones are just awkward. xD And the pity ones are theeee worsssttt.

Aww, well I'm sure it'll happen. Just keep being you. =]

Haha it really is. Thats what we did on Valentines Day xD. He shaved my head and we went swing dancing. I could never ask for a better boyfriend. :]
Swing dancing!? I am OOZING with jealousy! That sounds like an awesome valentines day.
