I need help with my hawk!

I'm not all that new to spiking my hair, I used to do Liberty spikes often

I am however new at death-hawks. Or at least that's what i believe it is the name of what i'm thinking.

I've Tried a few times to get my hair up the way it was done my first second and third time.. which was actually by my GF and I can't remember exactly how she does it.

 I have a basic idea on how to tease my hair however my end results look bad, i end up washing my hair, straighten it and comb it over (like in my default picture)

I have got2B and some other strong hair spray that isn't as strong.

what can you guys tell me? I have attached a photo of how i would love to rock it (like daily)
