Anybody know good ways to prevent paint from peeling?

Going over it with an acrylic sealer (which is basically clear spray paint).

Before you put paint on leather you should go over the area with a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol to get the protective layer of stuff off that keeps the leather from getting stained when you spill other stuff* on it.

*"other stuff" being beer, food, semen, stripper glitter, etc.
