how do you walk through doors?

every time i walk through a door it completely messes up my har and i have to make a big song and dance to fix it :(

I'm 5' 2" and my mohawk was simply a trick to seem taller along with being too lazy to deal with long hair so I don't have that problem at all. Now if only this was the cartoon world and you could just walk through and leave a mohawked shaped hole left above the doorway....
