I use print band logos or political stencils from stencilpunks.οργ on self-adhesive A4 papers.I use x-acto knife to cut the stencil.I iron on the paper in order to melt the glueSelf-adhesive papers can be used only for 1 patch(because you have to rip the paper to remove it) but you dont have to leave 'bridges' to logos that arent 'stencil type' its easy to cut and the paint doesnt overflow.
Yeah its totally the best idea to find images on the internet for your patches. That way you dont have to be like creative or anything you can just print someone elses idea and use it to show how unique and individual you are. And making your own band patches is awesome cause it totally prevents bands and record stores from making money by selling their patches to you. Thats so fucking cool!
Pantyhose stretched across a picture frame, place your image one one side and trace it. Paint whatever you've got laying around that will make a good seal, something that's water resistant, onto the negative space of your image. then let dry and you've got the most ghetto screenprinting screen on the face of the planet. Just open a window if you're using lead based paint.. you could die.
I use the freezer-paper method now, I got a roll of reynolds for like 3 buck. Everything else, paint and xacto blades I steal from Micheal's Art Store. Cause it's a Wal-Mart sized art store. They're corporate and evil and deserve it. I make some pretty detailed ass shit with the freezer paper method. Here's one I did ages ago for my friend's band.
