Mohawks Rock

I have a little question. My hair is very... voluminous. Its this way naturally, and I kind of want straight hair. One of my friends told me to spray it with water, then comb it flat, then let it dry with a stocking hat over it. Is this hard on my hair? He does the same thing, and it really does lay really flat and keeps it straight all day.

I dont think that would be hard on your hair at all. Are you wanting to do this before you spike it? Why not just use a straightener?
Not before I spike it, just for... having it down. I like straight hair rather then the poof hawk I get other wise.
you might think that but im sure your hair begs to differ. applying heat to your hair is NOT good for it and wether you notice it or not it does do damage. blow dryers, straighteners, curling irons, etc..they all create damage to your hair when you use them.
that is deff more healthy for your hair then using a straightener..
Okay cool! I'll do that, but I'll be sure to wash the hat every few days, I bet that would start to smell >.>
haha it would actually be best to use a breathable fabric..cotton would prob be best if you could find something like that..
Okay yeah sure I've got something like that.
