I have realy fine hair, and my mohawk is about 6 inches long...3 inches wide at the base. Does anyone know what im doing wrong? or can anyone recomend a diffrent prodoct that works for my type of hair?

ive wanted a mohawk for awhile...i finaly had a reason to get one, my long hair was annoying me and im going to see misfits in a mounth, im hopeing i can figure out a way to get it up and steady.

That's quite the wide mohawk. Try making it thinner like.. 2 inches the max..

NEVER I repeat NEVER try to get it up wet or damp. It has to be COMPLETELY dry!

Ok.. What you do is..

1) Dry hair completely.
2) Comb hair to get out knots so it will stay up.
3) DON'T USE GEL! It weighs your hair down and won't stay up as easily.
4) Take the front section of your hair, hold it straight up with one hand.
5) Spray with hairspray then use a blow dryer and dry it until the hairspray hardens.
6) Continue working in sections until you get it all to stay up. Then you can comb it out to make the fan better, but you'll need to reapply hairspray and blow dry it again.

If you need any help I suggest watching elcuellorojo's videos on Youtube. They're by far the best and he shows you how to get it up perfectly.

However.. When I do my hawk I do it a bit different. The first time I put it up after I shower it never wants to stay. I find it easier to do it in sections like I explained, but use a straightener after I put hairspray in it. This will make it hold really well. And then I comb it and then do the blow dryer. It stays quite well for me if I do it like this.

Another tip.. Don't shower for a few days. I shower every 2 days because my head gets so itchy I can't handle it.

And.. I quit using Got2B. It didn't work for me. I use Tressemme or however you spell it.. But almost any high hold hairspray is fine. I just find that Got2B left my hair too clumpy and TOO hard. My new hairspray makes it fan out well and isn't terribly hard to the touch.

Have fun, good look, and happy hawking.
thank you for the help, i got it to stand, i dont have a hair strightiner, so i had to skip that step...but it looks decent ecepet for the back...il just have to get in some practice, also i dont understand how im spoto comb it after its in the hawk..cus it had..and my comb just pulls my hair.

well thanks for the help

happy hawking to you too
Yeah man, when you break it apart with the comb to finish and make it one solid fan, it does hurt a bit. Just do it in little pulls, and it will work. (sorry if I'm not being clear)
I tried combing it just now..it mad it more even..the back is about even with the front less gaps thanks
