The Kentucky Derby is Decadent and Depraved is EXCELLENT I read it before Fear and Loathing and loved it. I also was going through all my old issues of Rolling Stone looking for something to read and found one from 07 it's got excerpts from the novel "Growing Up Gonzo" and the issue has all these great photos of Hunter as a kid and interviews from close friends and family about his young life and how he progressed as a writer, it's fucking brilliant and although I wasn't able to find the full article online here's a link with part of the article and some photos, pretty neat...http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2007/09/19/on-the-c...

also, one of the guys in the message boards said "Hunter should be as ingrained in American culture as baseball, apple pie, Chevrolet, and rape." fucking hysterical...I think he would've wanted it that way, that's for sure...lol
