Going to a show alone?

i go to numerous shows by myself. i have a lot friends into the music, but not a lot of friends with money. i know this is old, but for anyone out there, its really not bad. the way i see it is that its too loud to talk to anyone anyways(in the show, i dont smoke so i dont usually go outside) and between sets i usually just go to the bar for a beer(underagers dont get the luxury, but you can always just stand around waiting for the next set or strike up a convo with someone there, iv done it a few times). the pit is probably the best place when solo, you just completely forget about everything.

the only thing i dislike about going to shows along is going there and getting home alone. i live at least an hour away from every venue and take public transit. and public transit at 2 am drunk alone is just boring.

I'm seeing Reel Big Fish on the 20th. Honestly I wouldnt mind going alone. When I saw Flogging Molly the only time I saw my friend was the beginning and the end. It gives you a sort of freedom where you dont have too look for someone everytime your out of the pit, done crowd surfing, etc.

I've only been to a show alone once, this past July. I was a little worried too because I had to take the bus; even tho I live in the city, I have never taken the bus at night.

I was proud of myself for it in the end :)
