Mohawks Rock

My boyfriend and I broke up last night. And I feel so fucking low. I don't know how to get over him. And all I want is to cuddle with him. It's worse because we work together and I'll frequently have to see him. I don't know what to do with myself. No idea. I've never been the dumpee always the dumper. And it's not even a good fucking reason. It was just because he didn't have time for me! All I wanted was a couple hours a week! That's it! That's all. And now I have this overwhelming fear that no one will ever want me and stuff. It sucks. I want to feel wanted. Will you guys cheer me up please? Maybe some tips on how to get over someone? It'd be appreciated.

I'm not sure that there's a lot that any of us can say that will really help, but I'll give it a shot.

The thing that helps me the most when I feel really low is to call up some friends.  It doesn't have to be a party, and it doesn't have to be a lot of people.  Just get together with someone (or a group of someones) that makes you smile and makes you happy.  The closer the friend, the better.  Just get your mind off of him and into a better space, because this feeling won't last forever.

But the absolute most important thing to remember is that no matter what, there will always be people that love you for who you are.  Every single person on this earth can find people that will appreciate them and stick with them.  The fact that this guy is being a total dickbag doesn't change that at all.  You will find someone that will love you and treat you right because you're a wonderful person.  Don't stop looking for that person just because this guy obviously isn't it.

And hey, for what it's worth, I think you're pretty cool just for being a member on this site :P

Oh, there are always new people who will care for you for who you are.  Usually better, since you gain an insight into who really suits you better.

When someone can't spare a couple hours a week with you, they're not worth you.  Any really worthwhile person is willing to give up such little time for others and really you deserve more!

It'll take time to get over them, but be kind to yourself.  Just some walking usually helps me, just keep busy and maybe try some new things, new style/colour, etc.  Anything you like doing, do more of!  =)  They'll be better people.

I'm not a good role model for this, but I have seen that people are more compatible when they are not similar to each other. It gives you more to explore and learn about the other person.

In a way my boyfriend, Eliott, and I are similar, but still different in lots of way too. I hope you understand what I am trying to say. I re-read it a few times and it's a bit wordy.

And also best of luck dealing with your emotions. I understand how difficult and painful relationships (or lack of) can be to deal with. Maybe you can take your mind off by coming back to the site more. We miss you!

I have had a lot of experiance with heartbreak, I say live your life day to day, eventually it will subside. But it will take time, a lot of time. Maybe ask him to take it down a notch and talk it on through, if you just want to feel better for even a little bit listen to Streetlight Manifesto, they always pull me through(: Just keep on going, there will be times where it will seem like you're not going to make it, but thats temporary(: If you really want to get over him then just look for someone else, even though it will be hard maybe you'll like who ever you meet. But keep your chin up, don't let this bring you down. I know you don't know me but if you need to talk just message me.
