Gel Alternatives?

This week, I'll be getting my mohawk! Hooray! So, I would prefer my mohawk not to be crunchy looking but i still want it to stay up the whole day.It will be between 4 and 6 inches tall. Does anyone know any alternatives to gel that I could use?

hairspray and a blowdryer. i recommend bed head hard head hairspray.

If it's long enough use hair spray and a blow dryer; otherwise use a combination of hair glue and hairspray.If it's 6 inches it should be tall enough to use hairspray + blow dryer; much shorter though and you may find hair glue + hair spray to be the easiest method. I personally recommend "joico ICE spiker" for glue and got2be freeze spray for hairspray. However, the Joico Spiker is expensive, around $18 a bottle and you can only get it at places that cut hair; but I find that it is far better than got2be glued.
