i'm bisexual and over the years i've actually found from straight people i tend to just get weird looks or "oh how cool" when they find out but from other alt sexers mostly gay/lesbian(moreso them i've found) i tend to get in trouble for sitting on the fence, for taking the woman and men, or just simply for being a lesser to them
anyone else experience this

I'm pansexual. I believe that gender is entirely irrelavant when it comes to who you are attracted to... or to anything else for that matter. I find it really difficult to answer when people ask me about my sexuality, so much so that I actually dread people asking and tend to freak out. A lot of people tend to assume I'm gay because I'm a tad on the butch side and when they ask me if I'm gay I don't want to say pansexual because A. it takes so long to explain to people if they don't know what it means and B. I'm scared that they will look down on me for not being a 'proper' lesbian. I once went home with a girl who asked me who my favourite character was in 'The L Word' and when I told her I hadn't watched it she looked at me like I was crazy. Who knew there was prescribed television? Do I have to take a course?

I find it weird that supposedly open minded people can be so closed especially when it comes to sexuality. I'm finding a lot of discrimination in the BDSM community too for being a switch... They tend to act like I just don't have enough experience to decide whether I want to be a Domme or a Sub.

If we're fighting so hard for equality surely we're just back pedaling when we fight eachother?
