1.Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze)- I like the fact that he sold his soul to save someone he cared about, That he isn't the smartest super, but one of the most noble. He doesn't want to be a hero but knows that he has to make the best of his Situation. Well except now he's hunting down angels cause he's pissed. Powers are cool too, his hell fire only burns the wicked, super strength, infinite stamina, mystical chains. And on top of all that, he his a dude with a flaming skull for a head who rides a flaming chopper. 'nuff said
2. Hawkman (Carter Hall)- Hawkman gets a bad rap because all it seems to people is that he just flies and has a mace. But let me put it this way. Combine Russel Crowe's character from Gladiator, Mel Gibson's from Braveheart, Brad Pitt's Achilles and Leonidas of 300 and give him enhanced strength, Advanced healing, and can fly? Pretty bad ass if you ask me. Oh and on top of all that he has mastered every short to mid range weapon in history.
3. Thunderbird (Exiles)- This version of Thunderbird comes from a world where he was Apocalypse's horseman of War. He went toe-to toe against the Hulk and Galactus by himself. Knocked out the Hulk and tore open Galactus' armor.
4. Pitt- If you put the Hulk and Wolverine together, that pretty much describes Pitt. Noble Warrior, who gets stronger the more aggression is directed toward him. While the Hulk smashes things, Pitt Smashes AND tears people open.
5. Nightcrawler- The lovable teleporter of the X-men. Witty and charming but also a capable swordman and fighter. Oh the things he could do with his power.
I have several others but these are definately my top five.
i dunno who my top five are but:
1.batman- lots of people don't count him as a super hero but i love the guy what can i say. he might of not been the dark and creepy super detective we know and love at the beginning but he paved the way for darker comics. he did a lot of killing in his time. he's my favorite because he doesn't have super powers. anyone can go out and battle villains with super strength and other nifty little tricks but he's got nothing. superman goes out and nothing really hurts the guy he's not endangering himself it's almost like too easy if u know what i mean. now batman he goes out there and everything can kill him,but does he care? no. he is actually in danger, he has to face the fact that he might get shot or blown up every time he puts on his cape and cowl and answers the bat signal. he is a true super hero because he faces death for Gotham. and the dude is just plain awesome, drove a mad man mad, almost got smushed by a giant penny, and is completely paranoid, i mean the guy doesn't trust monks. who doesn't trust those peace loving baldies? well he doesn't and for good reason, they tried to kill him. well i could go on and on but moving on...
2.wolverine- do i have to say more. Logan is just too cool. he's not the perfect guy like cyclops, but who likes cyclops. he's Canadian which gives him points right there. the man is almost indestructible and has one bad attitude. his animalistic rages make him a killing machine. he just rocks. on a side note, has anyone noticed his healing has gotten faster and faster? it used to take him a while to get all better but now it's like in seconds.
3.the ninja turtles- no one includes them in this kinda thing, but they deserve a mention. no actual powers but they are butt kicking ninja turtles...i think that counts for something. Raphael is my favorite. then mickey and Donnie and then Leo. he kinda bugs me. just a tad. they've been aimed at kids for like ever now but they were originally an underground comic aimed at teens. I've never read the comics but the turtles rock. they are comic, tough, kick ass, in raphs case angry and they are NINJAS. how cool is that.
i'm not sure who number 4 would be but...
i like gambit and the beast from the x-men. specially gambit. Remy is one cool Cajun. he can blow things up with a touch of his hand, has an accent and his eyes are freaking awesome.
hank is just way cool.
i like spiderman too. not peter but spidey. peter Parker annoys me.
i like the flash. the one that was in the justice league with batman. he was fun.
well that's it. i like a bunch of other heros but those are my top three and a couple random ones that get honorable mention.
i love batman so i kinda did but it confused the shit out of me, especialy at the end, with all the flashbacks and the clones and what could of been stuff.
i had no idea what had happened by the time i was done.
the joker looked awesome though.
I do like the joker's new persona as well. But the only thing I liked about that story was the fact that Batman made a backup personality. That is pretty kick ass. But the story felt jumbled and did not flow well. And it took me a while to finally get what was happening at the end, but didn't make sense none the less. Apperantly Grant Morrison (I think thats who wrote it) has gone off the deep end and is just writing a lot of crap of late. I didn't read it but apparently final crisis was crap.
OH I have a reprint of the first TMNT comic. It was totally darker and more violent. They actually followed Bushido and the Shredder isn't Oroku Sakai, its his son! It was totally different from the cartoons. Raph is also my fave. Though for me it goes Raph, Leo, Don, Then Mikey. Leo is second cause he's the most discplined of them, and really the only one who could possibly take Raph in a fight.
