Fancy Styling

I'm going to a wedding tomorrow, and being introduced to my girlfriend's family for the first time. There is going to be enough tension as is, because they are very conservative and Catholic, so I decided I would wear my hair down in a softer style in an attempt not to be as... 'alternative' as usual.

However, I would like to do something a little more interesting other than combing my hair flat down. My mohawk is pretty wide, I would say around three inches, but my hair is relatively thin, so there's not too much hair to work with. I have bangs that go down to just under my ear, two chunks of hair as sideburns, and the rest of the hair is around three to four inches thick.

Any ideas what I can do that is appropriate for a wedding?
