Mohawks Rock

I feel like people don't take mohawks seriously anymore. I mean whenever i go out people just shout nice hawk and crap and sometimes just call me a faggot and piss me off. But i hate how people r so used to mohawks and don't get bothered by it...

What you guys think? People just don't take punk seriously anymore...

i know, i work in the canal (San Rafeal), and there's a bunch of immigrants there. Not that thats a bad thing, but mexico is a very conservative country. They can't believe my hair. They just laugh. Some people ask me if im scene, or emo. That pisses me off. But yea. It does bother me sometimes.
Not really. In general there might be one or two dicks about, but in general a good ol' stare will get them to shut right up.

(it might help that I'm 6'1" and over 200 pounds).
Yea like not being rascist or shit but i hate it when dumbass black kids get gay frizzy hawks and think they're the shit when their just faggots that never even knew what the hell punk was. PIsses me off so much.
i'm lucky and live in a town where hawks aren't uncommon. so for the most part (the young and older people still give me crazy looks) people just treat me like everyone else (despite the 13 piercings and a bright pink deathhawk)
hahaha i like how ye' put shite dude
Yea I see what your getting at, and I do believe in all that shit. But No i'm not trying to get attention/scaring kids, i'd rather be left alone. The problem for me is that people are so used to it that THEY think we do it for attention. Idk but it's hard to put into words. It just pisses me off how people asume you do it for attention.
I live in a small and very judgmental town, so the majority of people tend to be quite predjudice against the way i dress and the way my hair is etc. It seems i cant walk down the street without someone glaring at me, or acting like i am not even human. But on the good side, some, not very many, but some people actually like the way i am and they seem to accept me for it.
i live about an hour north of houston, in montgomery TX. in houston, it's not uncommon for me to run into another 'hawk once or twice a week, but in surrounding areas like montgomery, tomball..your basic B.F.E's..i'm the only one rocking it. i get alot of sweet little old ladys telling mei'd look just like audry hepburn if i diddn't shave my head. i do get some nasty older folkes, but they never say anything..just sneer and make me laugh. middle aged rednecks and the more geezerly gentlemen really seem to love it. i'm not looking ofr anyone to take me seriously, and i'm certainly not looking to bother people with my mohawk. all i'm looking for is my own happiness and i gots it
i live in humble texas, kinda short drive from houston, and i rarely ever see a real mohawk. like nauty cooper said, i see a real mohawk about once or twice a week, other than that its all fohawks. but most of the people around here are cool with it. it makes me crack up and smile when i see a mother, walking with her small child, and point at me and say thats a REAL mohawk. im glad the people around here, for the most part, you still run into jackasses a lot in a large city, are accepting of the bad ass hawk im sporting. and on a personal note, i would think it too kick ass if i saw more and more people deciding to sport the hawk for whatever reason. i love looking at all the different types and colors.
so why let them piss you off? if someone calls you a name, or gives you a hard time (unless it's turning physical) i see no reason to get upset. why give them that satisfaction if that's the reaction they're looking for. they'll get more butt-hurt if you just ignore them, or even better, laugh it off. smile and say "hey man, thanks for noticing me." and it does more damage to their precious little egos than anything else. be the duck
+1

Way to hit the nail on the head!
