Mohawks Rock

Now that I've done it a few times, I found that painting shoes to customize them is fun and comes out with great results. I've done it twice: once I painted up some combat boots with white checkers, and just earlier today I slapped some greed radiation symbols on a pair of combat boots. Have any of you tried it? No pictures yet for inspiration, but I'll just say that it's a lot of fun and everyone should try it. They get comments, lots of comments!

Yeah, I did some with Glow-in-the-dark paint which worked out alright. Here'a some pics of them:

It's hard to get that stuff to layer evenly though 'cause unlike normal paint it's thicker to suspecd the glow particles better. I'd like to try painting larger areas with it (like all the white rubber on a pair of cons).

I avoided any areas that flex, in case the paint might crack - though this stuff turned out quite rubbery, so it wouldn't. How long have your white checkers been on your combat boots and how do they look now?
