Color!

So I havent been here in a while mainly because I've seen the same old topics dominating the front page for a couple months. So lets start a new one!

What's the weirdest accidental color you've gotten from dying your hawk? Or the strangest color that your hair has faded to.

I tried to do purple the other day and some how my hair became green/yellow in the front, dark blue tips, blue middle and red/black roots. I'll get some pics up soon.

and also, what's everyone's preferred brand of dye? I've had the most success with "special effects" but lately I've had to use Manic Panic because its more available. And Manic Panic hasnt been working out too well.

yeah manic panic sucks. ive also had the most success with special effects.
the oddest color ive had mine fade to was greyish purple from a purple. not too odd. but ive heard of people trying to dye their hair with purple kool-aid and ending up with green.... dunno how that happened.
raw color has worked out okay for me, but ive only used their purple and blue, so i dunno..

You can find the special effects dye online... I was getting mine for about 11 dollars including shipping at one point (Hot Topic stopped carrying it =\) BUT I LOVE IT ALL THE SAME.

Color wise. Man.
I dyed my hair turquoise a few weeks back and only had a quarter of what I dyed turn to the blue. the rest was yellow, green, etc. All colors that you can use in the dye, I suppose.

I think my favorite accidental color was when I had stained my hair pink (the red dye washed out but it was permanently pink) then I added a dark blue and got this cool purple and blue striping effect. Sadly I have no pictures because I only had it a week.
