Catching out, hoppin a train

so i got the itch to get out, i wanna go fright train hopping. the problem i have no experience on the subject, i have read numerous articles on the subject to try to get a good grasp of it before i do, to avoid getting a foot cut off, i was wondering if anyone here has had any experience doing this kind of thing, and could give me some advise on it (other than dont do it, iv already made up my mind)
