can i have a hawk?
hey guys just joined
thinking of getting a pink hawk with black tips but i have a couple questions.
1) im a competitive swimmer and im in the pool twice a day 5 days a week. will the chlorine be a problem? (i have brown hair)
2) my hair is long and curly (about shoulder length). can you hawk curly hair? i want it to be a tall hawk but not sure if the curls will stay straight.

Yes, the chlorine will strip your color pretty fast. Get a straightener, straighten your hair before you put it up, problem solved :p

Heat based styling tools and chlorine both severely damage hair. Deep conditioning, hair masks, hot oil treatments, and other healthy hair care methods are a necessity!

Pretty much what corpsequeen said, the chlorine will strip your hair really fast. If you have bleach blonde hair though it can tint it like a greenish color XD.

i have a hawk and im around a pool every day. (i swim as well) i have to dye mine black every few months (im natural black hair) but the pool water just kills the color. just do alot to keep it healthy. like protein shit and wear a swim cap with a tad bit of conditioner in your hair when its dry before the cap goes on. it helps alot and dont take the cap off in the pool when your done swimming. just fucks up the whole point of having a cap on

i always wear a swim cap anyway (my hairs so long i couldnt see where i was going if i didnt :D). at the mo i use aussie shampoo and conditioner and also the aussie leave in conditioner.
with it being a pink hawk would the chlorine make it go green or is that just blonde? any products you guys recommend?

A faded pink/light pink might still turn green, never know how it will effect your hair until you try it. The cap should help a lot though.
