yet there still playing 8$ shows and playing quite the same music they were 10 years ago...
iv got nothign against the casualties, i enjoy some of there albums, im not a die hard fan, but if they came to a venue here id most liekly go see them. ya lyrically not the greatest, but since when was "punk rock" lyrically great, as far as i know blitzkrieg bop is like 4 sentences repeated...
but to each his own, your aloud to not like them.
anyways to answer the question:
Krum Bums
the virus
a global threat
clit45
career soldiers
check thous out, they kinda have the same sound, not exactly, and i like all bands more then the casualties, but hey listen to what you want.

i love the virus, but i have to agree with previous posts here the casualties don't have much going for them lyrically. the virus on the other hand, yeah they got songs about "being punk" but at the same time there's tunes like "the very last day" and "full circle" those songs have deep meanings which is why i like them so much lol shame they aren't around anymore.
oh dont get me wrong, i enjoy bands with meaningful lyrics much more then bands without. but i also like to not have to be constantly reminded about shit that's going on in the world, so listening to a casualties record to get my blood pumping is alright by me. like i said i enjoy the casualties, i dont think there amazing, but good. and i wouldn't go ahead and call them the posers of punk, they were playing 8$ shows last year with LoC, i dont agree with all the shit they do, and probably wont keep buying albums, but there old stuff is still great for mindless listening.
and yes the virus in general are a fucking great band, wish i could a seen them live.
you should give krum bums a chance if you haven't, some good songs with some good lyrics, nothing a masterpiece but good.

oh yeah man i totally get that, i'm not sure that it's anyones place to call them poseurs but they are definitely known for their image. hmm krum bums... I may have heard them before actually. my friends' band got to open for them once it was a pretty good show. I don't own an album or anything because i haven't had much exposure to them.
I'm also into shit like the doors, the pogues, and slayer lol i'm all over the place.
Since when was lyrical depth a requirement for anything? Go listen to Steel Panther, they're becoming huge and all they sing about is fucking people. Or maybe Misfits, that's just songs about old horror films. Not everything has to be totally serious all the time.
Robert i didn't ask for comments on what they sound like...i ask for bands that sound like the casualties or mightve influenced them...put on your glasses nigga

I really dislike the casualties, partly because they kinda just "pose" for the music. And their music doesn't really sound good at all, its just like trash. But....I heard theres some New Zealand band who plays music influenced by them called the Rabble and i searched them up and they are just like the casualties, cuz they just pose and their music is more like that mainstream pop poser punk
