Mohawks Rock

Was wondering what everybody did for a living/Job. Has having a Hawk affected your employment? At work do you wear your hawk up or down?

I work for London Underground at Oxford Circus Station, had me hawk for a few months now a few comments but nothing negative, and the company rules state that hair muct be clean and tidy. Well I think a hawks pretty tidy lol and I generally wear mine up.

i work at mcdonalds lol, its not bad i guess, they give me whatever hours i want and don't care for my hair as long as i wear it down.
Im currently at college doing my NVQ level 2 in Hairdressing. All my lecturers love my hair, piercings and tattoos. Im only 'alternative' girl on the hairdressing course, so all the other girls get to do their barbering and clippering assessments on me!! lol. And im the only one who will let them colour my hair all different colours and experiment. Im an adult learner, as all the other girls are scool leavers (16-17) so i can get away with pretty much anything with my lecturers!!
Im pretty lucky being in a field of work where its more or less a nessessity to be creative and individual (if there is such a thing any more). The only thing i cant stand about it is having to wear a uniform. Its only a tunic, but they didnt like me wearing skinny black jeans and Doc Martens boots.... so i wear a skirt and DM boots!!
i work at Subway. and before that, funny enough, i worked at this country club in my town which is full of stuck up rich dudes. i was suprised they let me have it, i just showed up one day with it. then one of the guys was like, yo, u gotta spike that up sometime. so i did, only once though. it got nasty from sweating all day from working
I'm a first year carpenter. Working on a swimming pool/recreation centre. I get a bit of jokes at work from some of the guys, but I know in the end it's cause they have tiny dinks and their dreams of being in the NHL have been smashed! Lol. But I have to wear it down cause wearing a hardhat is mandatory.
I work as an hourly boy in a body shop, dunno what it is look it up.. I basically vaccum, wash, and shammy, and clean the windows on wrecked cars, recycle paint, clean the shop, replace filters etc... and on occasion I get to spray bed liners in truck beds and primer fenders etc.. But at about 3 every day we break out the Keystone tall boys and don't really work much.. hahaha
I know, it's odd, I'm a military linguist and speak, German, French, Russian, and Somali. That's why the mohawk is gone. Damn the rules!
I work in corporate america, cut my hawk after i had been here about 4 years. I started out with a faux-hawk and took a month or two until I got it to how it is now.

I definitely get some stares and double takes occasionally, but for the most part no one has a problem with it. My boss actually loves it and likes to count how many people stare at me as we walk around or go to lunch or wherever.

I am planning on moving soon, and I'm still trying to decide to what to do with the hawk when I start interviewing for jobs in a new city...I may just cut it real short so it looks buzzed and then grow it back out after I get a job.
LONDON UNDERGROUND MATEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xD still cant have it spiked in ashtray house :(

you seen the news bout that csa shoutin at some guy??
i work on a trawler and no1 cares about the hair, dont bother wearing it up though coz im continually being hit by lumps of water n dont rekon it last long!
i work as a tree surgeon so have to wear it down plus i comute by motorcycle so can only realy go up at the weekend if i dont have to transport myself!
Previously a tram driver, now driving trains. Had lots of good comments, no negative. Boss says as long as it's not multicoloured and neat it's fine.
i work at a plastics molding company in Fort Collins, CO. I work 3rd shift and was hired with my hawk. my boss wears a wallet chain and skull t-shirts to work. his "golden boy" has gauged ear holes and tatts all over. i think my hawk is the most out there thing where i work but by far not an issue.
