The Frays!

My fucken hawk keeps fraying when I spike it. My hair is thick and long and the more gel or toothpaste or egg whites I use the fucker wont stop splitting apart. What the fuck to I gotta do to keep my hawk from looking like a splintered piece of wood?

yeah hairspray tends to work much better and doesnt damage the hair as much

hair spay dose seem to work the best, also sometimes to much of the gel and all could cause the hair to stick together more and cause the fraying and braking apart thing u have going on, try using less or start using hair spray

Lauren is right I think. Sometimes the more product you get in there, the more fraying you get. My mohawk this weekend was doing that to me. Fraying and fraying, the more product I put in the worse it seemed to get.

This is probably cause hair that is going to be together just sticks together and won't re-fan out. I suppose when you hit a point, you have to start over or maybe just go with spikes.
