Mohawks Rock

I'm really interested in why people dress the way they do, and what styles they have worn before, I'm wondering what styles have you worn and what kind of thing you wear now.

I started at 9yrs old wearing black and listening to Siouxsie and The Banshees and the Sex Pistols, then I turned into a Chav for what turned out to be the worst year of my life, then back to Goth, then Emo when it started again, Scene for a while (that annoyed the shit out of me), Grunge-y, Punk and Goth again. My self-discovery journey was a long and difficult one, just ending up in being the same to begin with.

What did you guys wear? and what do you wear now?

The first picture is me a couple of years ago (i think) as Emo
The second picture is me a year ago as Scene
The third is me now

If I had the money and the inspiration, and I actually cared what I look like in school, I would dress a totally different way, and go crazy with accesories and belts and studs and chains and stuff, but I just can't be bothered in the morning.
I also mostly live by the simple rule that whatever comes out of my closet first and isn't too hot or too cold, I wear it.

Some days I wear blue zebra pants with my lovely pink top with all sort of holes and strings and stuff on it, and right now I'm sporting a very anonymous(?) green string top with completely normal jeans (they have a lot of jean-colored patches on them, but still) and my trusty studded belt. And sometimes my black Doc martens and always my long, black coat with a simple row of studs along the edges, pretty stylish I think actually ^^ lol
up till i started listening to punk
i thought music was the biggest waste of time
so i wore.. well.. whatever i owned..
little kiddy clothes n stuff
hehe

but that was till i was ten years old
what the fuck did i know?!

i wear whatever i can find off my floor
i dont care if i dont look like what i am.. as long as its comfy
I was a total tomboy in when I was little, so I was mostly in overalls >.< Then when I was about 8 my sister started dressing as a goth and I started wearing similar stuff (really looked up to her) and when she stopped I kept going.

I'd always listening to metal and punk (thanks to my mum) and when I was 15 punk just seemed to smack me around the face and I've listened to it predominantly ever since. I met my boyfriend when I was 15 and he broadened my horizons of punk and I started hanging with punks and my current style just branched out from there adding elements of my own ideas etc til I am who I am now.

I wear clothes I've either made or customised cos I hate all the maintstream shit they sell nowadays, its just embarrassing to see a kid wearing a smaller version of something you've got.

If im going out i'll probably just wear my cropped bondage trousers and I band t-shirt with my leather or denim.

Other times just whatevers clean.
what is with all the scenes?
is it a porno? i hope so, that would be freakin awesome
Well, i grew in a family where my father was (and still is though it doesnt show :P) a punk, and my mother is a hardcore The Cure and Siouxsie and The Banshees fan, so since a started wearing clothes i was towards the punk style (first day at school ever and i went wearing a The Clash tshirt and sporting my first mohawk....) i was a full punk freak at the age of 13 and then i got seduced by the psychobilly, death rock and goth sounds so i blended my style between those and still i do that today although this year i have many indie rock elements too 'cause i propably spend too much time listening to that kind of music as well:P And thats what clouded my mind and i ruined my mohawk...Tommorow though its time to get it all active and proper again!!! Robin, to the Bat-hairdresser!
thankfully i never was into emo or scene (no offence to all of you who have... lol)
but i started out as a ska kid, i wore checkered slip on vans and a two tone suit when i could. then i started bein a little more punk (for like 6 months) then i started hangin' with some greasers so i adopted the black shirt, blue jeans, and pompadour look. a year later the group kinda splintered and some of us shaved our heads and put on the steel toe boots... I was into the trad skinhead stuff but everyone else liked skrewdriver (ugh) so i left them and bounced around to some other skinheads, but later i said fuck it after i stopped hanging around them. Now im a mix of everything i was, with the "street punk" look being the most prominent i guess.

whats funny was recently my girlfreind made that comment to me, she said "well, you look like a street punk, and not like the 'oi oi' kind, the 'squat the world' kind."
I love that last bit. haha

my boyfriend falls more into the street punk and to an extent we share clothes so I guess thats the majority of what I wear. But I have found a love for obnoxiously colored pants recently. But my daily wardrobe: boots, skinny jeans, band tee. Normally my college hoodie cause it's warm and soft, but I wear it under vests and whatnot.

I kind of like a dressy look, too. But what I wear depends on my mood. the above is the no effort and no care dressing. haha
When I was younger my parents were rocker types lol. All the clothes I wore then are trendy now, sadly. But my ten year old sister wears them, so I think we'll have a bunch of hand me downs. Uhm..but the same mentality when I was younger. Jeans, tshirt, hoodie. not much has changed there.
well i basicly wear saftey pins all through my clothes.I like to wear t shirts that have my favorite bands on them. ripped up jeans..boots..whatever. i dont give a fuck about what people think i dress like. i dress how i want to
safety pins fix everything
as do darts
amen :D
