I live in the town of Lincoln, RI. And lemme tell you...avoid at all costs. The town is harshly segregated by social class. We're located next to CF, so the bordering districts of Lincoln are usually lower class and way more prone to gang-banger violence. Its also top 100 places to live in US...according to CNN[i honestly can't see why: Cops are lazy an dont help those that need it, 3 murders in a month this summer right outside lincoln, and not even a handful of punks :( oh well ] At least Im only 15 minutes away from Prov, and Lupos (most recent gigs I saw there were rancid and NOFX), so its okay maybe?
I live on the edge of Lincoln near woonsocket...a district called Manville. Used to be a hardcore Canadian mill town, then it got sucked up by Lincoln back in the day :/ Manville has a huge cathedral, so it's architecture is amazing, and it has really well done paintings on the inside. We have brick blocks which were recently put under "beautification mods" (phail). We also have a park with a grimey lake, that was actually clean in the seventies. In the woods in the back of the park we have dirt BMX trails...my pride and joy. Also we have this pretty badass ice cream shop run by a veteran and his family...thats about it.
Im from near Rotherham/Sheffield from South Yorkshire (Woo for yorkshire!) in England.
Its crap because its a backwards mining village that I live in and if you aren't white you basically get run out of town. I dont live hear by choice (well I kinda do because my bf lived here) but its better than being homeless.
We have to be careful coming home from gigs because the pub we have to walk past to get home is notorious for violence, also after a night out, hats are an essential item for covering hair.
Had the windows put through once for being punks, dont really want to have to replace them again!
Uh what else... well its a bit better here now because there is a curfew for all under 18's after 8pm.
The buses are shit, I live 2 hours away from my job on the direct line bus and rotherham bus station is a complete no no on a friday night.
I love going to the no.10 bar though, they've got UK SUBS, 999, The Vibrators and Riot Squad playing next year, and a punk/ska night on every other week. Also sheffield is awesome for seeing bigger bands and going to Punk/rock karaoke on a wednesday night at the Nelson is great :)
Doncaster's got a good pub called the Leopard for gigs, in case anyone ever comes to South Yorkshire (which I wholeheartly wouldn't recommend!!!) and the tut and shive is excellent for a beer.

wewa, florida
small town not shit to do people all seem to be the same have kids who are rednecks and will say how racist they are (of course not in front of the black kids though) but will be quoting a rap song 5 seconds later
a couple kids think its cute and trendy to get a mohawk after ive had mine for a while
fuckin hate it
Are you sure that it wasn't because of the "RayHawk" thing?
Ugghhh I hated that sooooo much. I can't tell you how many people asked me if I was a Rays fan. D=
Living IN Tampa Bay it reallyy sucked to have a mohawk during the baseball thing...
Luckily I had taken the blue out of my hair right before the big trend took off. >br />
Also some people gave me funny nods like they knew me- through my hair? I have no idea, but I just flipped them off and/or said something profane/cruel.

i used to live in tampa, but moved last year to pensacola (for college >.<). i heard all about that rayhawk thing and thought i was a bit ridiculous. im so glad im out of tampa, but then again, pensacola seems so tiny in comparison! i miss being able to go to local shows a lot, but i get to travel to new places for shows now, so its cool.
i live near Boston MA. i personally love it. Im about a half hour away from all the good shows. I like the weather in New England, you get all four seasons. But all the kids in my town are all gangstaaass yo, and dont understand what punk is, they think Blink is punk, which pisses the shit out of me. Oh and theres all the emo-scene kids too. But besides that, i really like it here
i live near Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
it's prettyyyy awesome.
i love the people.
there's a lot of shows in toronto. i'm about a half hour from there.
so its pretty great :P
gotta say, theres a lot of punks here :)
but theres a lot of scene kids too...
but i can't complain. i love it here.
Anchorage, AK. Its cold but Beautiful. Also one of the most diverse cities in the U.S. For the most part everyone is pretty open and accepting. Well depends where around town you go.
