Religion and Revolution

Can Religion be reformed to fix it's "flaws" or obsolete? Is the idea of religion dangerous to a society of Anarchists? Discuss.

What religion to me is a club for people to join. Wether their doctrines or princepals are true and rightious is sort of immaterial.

In my personal opinion, religious groups have a bigger agenda than trying to 'make danger to a society of anarchists'. anarchists being sort of a minority group and all.

And religion is reforming all the time belive it or not. Just get a bunch of people to say 'hey, I don't agree with rule 'A' and 'B', if you don't change 'A' and 'B', we're not coming over and giving you money anymore' or the government to say 'hey, the law of the land says rule 'C' 'E', 'F', and 'G' are illegal and unconsitutional.. either change your rules, or we will revoke your tax exempt status and other privilages..'

Religion always is and will be a political entity... Something to think about the next time sombody purports a 'seperate church and state' arguement.

I never went to a church since I was 18. fraid I might spontaniously combust if I enter one...

I believe that As Anarchists its our goal to explore the truth unbiased by structures and religions we are free to look at all info that is available. Religion also implies structure. So i would say no don't become religious just care about the truth. Whether its spiritual, magical, or aliens truth is out there go and find it. Unless ur Nihilist than Fuck it lets party.
