Mohawks Rock

Atheism is obviously no belief in God. I'm tired of Christians acting like we are the dirtiest fucking thing they ever came across. they can't even realize how fucked their views are. Each religion states that if you don't follow theirs, you're going to Hell. They are fucked, correct? It also states that anyone who has damned someone to Hell is going to hell. almost all religions do this. And they have this fucked up way of believing they can sin their whole lives and if they repent before they die, they're "saved". What's with that shit? And they can believe a smiteful guy in the sky threw together Adam and Eve and they fucked and created us all. Isn't that incest? Wouldn't we all be retarded or some shit? Is it so hard to believe we evolutionized? I believe the bible was either a work of fiction or was created in an era were anarchy ruled, and someone wrote this book to create control and stabability. who agrees?

There are certain beliefs that people have and certain beliefs that people don't have. I just kinda let people think what they want. I have my own views, but I don't push them onto others nor will I ever be convinced into believing somebody else's views. It's good that we believe different things. It promotes diversity so everyone's different from one another. My opinion with religion is you know, do any of us know for a fact how the world began? Nada. Was there a video that was recorded two thousand and eleven years ago? Nope. Is anyone still alive from the beginning of the Earth? Nuh-uh. Why fuss about shit if NONE of us know the real story? Can't people just let it be a mystery?

As far I remember, the various versions of the bible (there are four differing versions that scholars argue over, never mind all the variations that happen with each edition where sections and passages get removed/re-added & wording changed.) that were compiled together from various accounts and stories by order of a king around 900 years ago.

He wanted a new religion of his own, to promote a monotheism and himself under it as ruler with the backing of a single 'god' - compared to existing religions in his region that were polytheistic (many gods).  Obviously, before he got scholars to build it up and it became widespread, most people never knew anything of it until a lot later when people started traveling further abroad and it got translated to other languages.

Most of the world, for most of all time, never knew of this particular religion...but then there are thousands of them.  The problem is, we get taught one of them and indoctrinated into it and forget that it's no different than any of the others made and taught by people throughout all history.  Ra the Sun God, anyone?  How about the FSM? =]

Whenever someone gets me upset, I just look down at my "WWGGD?" braclet. Then I shove a rake in whoever made me angry and I shit in their mouth.

I am high !!!XD y'all ^ are not. Lesson learned.
I generally have respect/tolerance for any belief system that people may have, unless it infringes upon my own, (and others')  personal rights.  For instance, christian fundamentalists in politics are attempting to dictate what I do with my body if I get pregnant.  There's also the ongoing issue of creationism vs. evolution in schools, gay rights, and waging war on other nations based on religious differences.  I also become quite irritated when I'm constantly approached by "recruiters" who try to sell me my "salvation" through hip churches, summer camps, and slick pastors.
wait, whose body?
Mine.  I'm very pro-choice.
i agree im a kid in small town everybody is religious some kids asked me if i was lutheren or catholic i was like im atheist they said omg they were like afraid of me and when i tried to explain that the bible doesnt makes sense the just told me that i shouldnt make people lose faith

The problem with belief systems (including Atheism) is that they lead to feelings of superiority. ( i.e. My belief is better than yours.)  At best, this gives rise to mere tolerance which basically means "I will allow you and your belief to co-exist with me."  However, that is not true acceptance.  Acceptance of people who are different than us, as long as they are not violent and are not ACTUALLY harming anyone, is what is required of society to break the chains of the medieval philosophical templates that have held us in bondage for the last 1700 years or so.  By acceptance, I mean to truly respect and diligently try to understand others way of life and thinking.  By no means does this mean, we have to change our own way of life; just simply respect others.  People who disrespect you, are displaying their own ignorance and servitude.  This should provoke sympathy, or at worst pity.  Never anger.  This is the ideal way of life, in my opinion.

Also, you guys rule.  I would love to have a mohawk if I could.

Thats all very insightful!

Why can't you have a mohawk?
