Did some reading up on agnostic there - that would come under 'agnostic monotheist'.

Agnostic (on its own) defines that the existence or non-existence of a deity or deities is unknown or unknowable. They neither believe in them nor don't believe in them.

Since you don't believe in polytheism (multiple gods), that's where the monotheism (single god) belief comes in, but you don't choose a specific deity/s from the thousands of different deities created over history by different people.

I like to think of myself as religionless.

Satanist reporting in...

I was raised roman-catholic. By the time I was 7 I wisened up. I've never met a bigger group of hypocrites. And going to mass is like listening to zombies, just droning on and on. And then there's the sit...stand...kneel repeat.

But that's just me personally. My mom sent me to a christian dude ranch. It was really weird, and then I 'woke up' 6 months later then realizing I had been brain washed and had been prattling off about jesus haha.

So needless to say my experiences have been shitty, therefore I believe in checks and balances... spirits inhabiting all things.

I'm a bible believing christian. although i hate freakin religiousness. i guess i see this as doing stuff just to do it because you were told to do it. I dont see it as doing a set of duties. i dont believe that if you do something bad, you have to make up for it by doing good. if thats so Jesus dying was pointless. When you screw up Jesus forgives you, you move on, and try your best to do better next time. Its a lifestyle along with faith, not duties to perform.

organized religion, I belive, is shit. There is proof of something , and that is that everything had to start somehow, and whatever created that, may or may not give a shit.

If everything needs a start, then anything that started everything also needs a 'start' 'cause 'everything' includes everything.

Like what started or created the creating 'that'?  Or if these 'creating things' just 'existed' without needing a start, then it seems logical that everything (without that) could also 'exist' without needing that to start it.

Therefore, no need to add the 'creating things' to start things.  It's just an added layer and doesn't really need to be there or explain how everything 'starts'.

I think the concept of infinity and starting from nothing are beyond our understanding - but both are equally valid possibilities.  Still, I think when people think that a complex creative intelligence(s) just appears - or exists without a start (and a long process to get to that point) - it isn't credible.

The philosophy which encourages self-worship (not for being 'the creation of a flawless creator' but something in the terms of loving yourself because it's the only self you've got), free thought, self-improvement and self-empowerment - most likely found in some forms of satanism - does appeal to me, but I don't have a reason to believe in any sort of magic. Therefore, I don't believe in any form of deity. I'm not easy to impress with psychological terrorism like threats of eternal pain and the anger of a 'loving God'. My morale is based on reason and, well, trying to do the right thing, trying not to be evil.
I do think that having something insanely powerful (like a god) to hold on to would make things easier sometimes (especially at funerals), but I don't need those lies and I won't support them.

Im Roman Catholic, strict faith, its how i was raised, but i dont attend church that often, i just believe in God and Jesus. I know there are contradictions with my faith, but if you have faith in any religion chances are its going to have a contradiction of some sort, I dont agree with alot of Roman Catholic beliefs, but alot I do.

Personally labels are stupid in alot of ways, but in such religion it helps classify with what you believe in. I say im Roman Catholic because I was baptized in that faith. Based on my beliefs i would just say im classified as a regular christian.

I do find other religions very interesting, and study alot of them, like greek/roman mythology, Hinduism,  Taoism, Islam, Judaism,   paganism, etc.

Of course there are alot more, but i find other religions very interesting and informative because they do contain the peoples history, and viewpoints on life.  therefore i dont believe any are irrelevant. :)

Also, i most definitly agree with the bible thumping assholes out there, and hate other people because of different belief systems, and say that gays will go to hell and shit. i hate that fucking shit, nothing pisses me off more than Christians that act like that. it gives a bad name to christianity

i totally agree with that last bit. Christians need to love people and care about them, not freaking judge them and tell them everything that is wrong with their life.
lol yea i made a typo in there it was supposed to be *disagree not agree lol, but yeah judging people isnt very christian i think
Agreed, and I think it's not limited to certain Christians, but people in general need to be more understanding and accepting of others different than them and live life in peace and goodwill.
