I didn't know it was the "cool" thing. o_o
The one in a mall close to me is filled with Twilight and Harry Potter though (I hate both). I've been in it, it didn't have one remotely nice thing. :/
When my studded belts start to break I go there sometimes, but that's it.

I never have and I never will. Why? Because they don't sell anything good; most of their clothes are for preps and pretty much all of the "punk" and "goth" clothes they have are of shit quality. Not to mention the fact that everything they sell is over-fucking-priced. Hot Topic is made for people like you; this allone should be reason enough to hate it.

i used to go there because they sometimes have cute belts, and stuff like that, but i went in there about 2 days ago for the first time in a few years, and was amazed to hear carrie underwood playing in the store, they were also selling taylor swift, justin beiber, and lil' wayne shirts, i was blown away. i know the store is seen as a store for "mall goths" and have mainstream band stuff, but seriously taylor swift and justin beiber? wtf

I used to buy my gauges there, but they're way too expensive. 20 bucks for two little nubs of plastic or silicone? Pssh. But a friend of mine has a store called phase id, her body jewelry is like 2 and 3 bucks.
