First timer

So my hair's about a foot long, and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to spike it? I haven't shaved it for a mohawk (yet!) cause I wanna try this out first and see how it goes.

Before I get the usual "Use the search button you noob" I already tried that and only found stuff from people who already have their hawks but are looking for advice on making them better.

What I want is to put it into a whole bunch of spikes all the way around the head, pointing out in all directions, kinda like the guy on the left in the attached pic. Someone said his name is Mike Liberty? Only my hairs longer than in that pic.

Just a word of advice: if your hair is even the SLIGHTEST bit curly or wavy I find that it helps allot to straighten it first; that seems to make my significantly more obedient. Also, hairspray will stick to your hair better depending upon what products you use to wash/condition your hair; experiment until you find what works best.

I hate that, I get really bad dandruff and if I don't look after my scalp it gets too itchy for me to bare :(

^^that video is probably your best bet.

first thing to do is shower, air/towel dry your hair.
section off your whole hair with hair ties, and at that point follow the video.

Yea, i would sat that's a good idea, the longer it is, the harder it is to do, if you have it shorter, you can practice getting it right, and over time when it grows, you wont even notice when it gets back to your preferred length.
