Wasn't aware there was a wrong way to DIY...
Being arrogant isn't very advanced or mature - and it's always good to see if there are other options around by asking. You never know when someone else might prove you wrong.

Well, a little googling and I found this paint which claims to not crack even on leather sneakers where it creases. They show some examples of it on after 6 months wear.

Depending on how much paint you need, perhaps that might suit for your leather jacket?
i welcome our new androgynous overlord
XD. i agree
HA! XDXDXDXD
if you use matte clear acrylic sealer it will help the paint keep
hmmm,,thats what i heard but hey..it was layin around the house and now my jacket has a more used look to it haha...its got character
fabric is ok but if you but in those over sized quantities then it's way way cheaper
eh..ill try acrylic some time when the paint is completely worn off
Just saw this on the angry young and poor website in the description of a leather jacket:

"if you want to paint it, the best thing to use is Testors Paint Markers. You may have to re-apply after a while if it starts to crack, but it stays on and it comes out bright"
I have always used acrylic on leather
