Check craft supply stores or other places that might sell fabric.
If you're lucky, they'll have plaid.
teh joahns fabric place near me has flannel plaid pretty cheap, for about 4 bucks you can get a square yard
another places worth looking are fabric stores and thrift stores like teh mike dude said
how do you keep the fabric on do you sew it or what. sewing leathers hard man
I (personally) safetypin most my stuff on, due tae teh same fact ye mentioned, sewing leather's hard :/
but when i sewn on meh clover i doubled up the thread and used a thick needle, i broke a few though, another idea is a sewing machine, or maybe using a knife or something to make a super little hole to put the string though perhapse?
you better know what your doing if you try using a sewing machine on leather. if you dont have it on the right settings with the right needle you will break ALOT of needles and possibly your machine as well.
any fabric store.. joanns, walmart, etc. luckily plaid is in fashion and becoming more popular so its easier to find then it used to be. it tends to be rather expensive for fabric though but for something like patches you could get away with buying a half a yard for the prints you want.
