Dying hair + Bleaching

Yea i've had my mohawk for a long time and its pretty long now. I really want to dye it but i have no idea how. I have black hair so i guess i should bleach it? I don't know how to do anything.
Im prolly gonna dye my mohawk purple/blonde. should i just get the dyes from angryyoungandpoor?

You'd probably have to bleach it twice with 40 bleach, try manicpanic.com

Personally I don't trust box brands for bleach. Last time I bleached my hair I went to my hair lady (bad-ass punk chick) and she hooked me up. (I suggest you ask for Redken (spelling?) bleach, it doesn't dry the scalp as much.

As for air dye if you bleach your hair color should stay longer and be more vibrant. And when it grows out it becomes two-tone x)

My personal favorite it punky-color plum for purple. They carry them in Ulta stores(be careful they are not old) and your can order online(what I prefer). Also popular brands are Manic Panic (personally I think its rubbish), Special effects, and Directions. Some colors are notoriously better in some brands. There are tons of forums to help you put in that department tho.
