"A mohawk is irresponsible at your age!"

These are the words my mum spoke to me this afternoon when I was over for a visit and thought aloud about getting another mohawk-well, Chelsea-hawk this time.

Jesus, I'm nineteen years old and it feels as if I should be 40 sometimes, what with the way I'm expected to behave! Apparently I cannot have pink hair or a shaved head if I'm to be responsible and have a job.

"And mohawks are unattractive on girls. You looked hideous with that thing!"

Bah! Whatever she pleases. I think I'll be getting my Chelsea back in any case. I was quite fond of it. I looked like a cute little skinbird. =)

Any thoughts on these ridiculous comments?

I think you had it right calling her comments "ridiculous" I mean the utmost respect to your mom. But you have to know yourself and be yourself. You'll make it work however you do it. I have to agree Chelsea Hawks are so much fun.

Don't worry, my mum is a bitch. Not a one in the family likes her the least bit.

She's was awful enough, I left and haved lived out of the house since I was almost 17.

Yeah....I'm slightly worried that if it's not wide enough, I'll end up with a wig again at work. I despise those hot, itchy things! But it may look a bit silly if it's too wide, Mmm.

Sad as it'd make me, I may just get the Chelsea alone again.
