Mohawks Rock

ok, I've had my hawk for a while, and I'm contemplating shaving it a bit thinner. right now its about 2 inches wide (the width between the center of each eye) So how wide are your hawks?

do those of you with thin hawks find it easier to fan? or do you think a wider hawk is easier to fan?

I would assume I thicker hawk would have (of course) more hair to fan and it would kind of be more resistant to wind...just with the right amount of product be stronger, and when fanning it would be less sparse since (again) there's more hair...so you wouldn't have a hard time with "empty spaces". I think you get what I'm trying to say. But this is all speculation.
thats what I thought, but I've had a trouble fanning my thicker hawk because there seems to be TOO much hair. Like there's too much to manage with the comb. So some of it falls down and isnt held up straight. I'm thinking cutting it thinner will make it easier to comb it up straight.
Mine is really thin now, about 1.5" wide. It used to be really wide when I first got it lol. I like hawks the most when they're about 1.5-2", but of course it depends on the person and the hawk style too. I'm a really small, skinny person and like it thinner on myself, but that's because my head is really small, and 1.5" still seems wide for my head. But maybe that's just me.

I do have really thick, frizzy and strong hair. It was harder for me to fan it, when it was thicker. Though, my hair is kind of weird. It's really thick on top/front of my head and on the back it's really thin, so I usually end up getting gaps in my fan anway lol. It's been like that when my hawk was thicker and it's still the same now. Top/front is a perfect fan and the back has some smaller gaps.
From the little bit of the from of your mohawk I could see in your photos, I think the width of it looks nice. Then again I like thicker hawks better most of the time lol.
mine has gotten reaaaaaaaly ......thin lately due to.an .......unfortunate......accident...........
Mine is really wide. About 4.5" wide. But I usually spike my hair. I've tried a fan before but I was having trouble doing so. Most likely because I haven't really tried a fan yet, but I want to. Will do so when I have some spare time.
k mine is about one and a half maybe two inches wide and its is like seven tall and i find it harder to fan because there is many more gaps mainly torwards the crown of my head and it is annoying but if i want it wider i have to cut it all off soo i recomend just cutting off little bits at time soo you dont cut off too much if you do cut it ...but i wish mine was wider cause it makes your fan more full and when theres gaps your hair is more flimsy kinda like the front of my mohawk is really strong because it has no gaps but the middle where my hair splits is way more flimsy soo i recomend keeping it wide
Mines pretty thick. Its about 2.5 to 3 inches wide. I think its a bit easier to fan it, but it prolly takes waaaaay longer to get up because there's more hair.
Its seems kinda like they both have their pro's and con's.
I think it's better to be like it is on your picture.I can not explain it because I do not know the language well ... I know the Bulgarian but do not know the English
medium hawks like 2-2 1/2 inches thick are better. Too thick looks terrible from the front, but it's easier + more thick look / fuller look at the sides. Thin ones are hard
I would thin it out a bit. Too Thick or thin would make it hard to fan. mine is probably an inch and a half, and it only takes me ten, fifteen minutes to put up, depending on how i feel, how tired i am, etc.
