Mohawks Rock

So the other day i got kicke dout of my hosue after a huge fist fight with my brother and beign thrown down the stairs. I was heading over to my drummer's house(I'm in a band called Paste Card, look us up sometime, www.myspace.com/pastecard), he offered to let me stay at his place for the night. So i packed up my stuff and headed out. As i was walking i got jumped by a bunch of blacks and mexicans. They beat the shit out of me and took my stuff. There was at least ten guys, so i stood no chance. Luckily the worse of my inuries is a minor concussion and some brusied ribs. Anyways, there is where the unity part comes in. I was heading to school this morning, as i'm walking this car pulls up next to me. The window rolls down and this guy with liberty spikes asks me my name. I told him and he asked if i was the kid who got mugged by sunrise(a park where i live). I said i was, and got ready for a fight. Next thing i knwo all the car doors open up and a bunch of punks get out. One of them was carrying my backpack and stuff. They handed it to me and explained how they got it. They heard that some guy got mugged by sunrise and that he was wearing a leather jacket with a bunch of studs and had a mo-hawk. So they decided to head over and check it out. They apparently beat the shit out of these guys. The reason they did this was because i was a fellow punk, and they had seen me at some of the local shows before. I'm not asking for pity or sympathy out of this. I'm just trying to explain how i know that(at least around here) unity is coming back. That punks are starting to stop their bickering of the different kinds and come together. Has anyone else had an experience that showed them that there is a form of unity coming about among the punks?

I wish i could tell a great story, but unfortunatly I live in a town where there aren't really any punks. I mean there is me and a few of my frineds, but thats it. But I am glad to hear that unity is starting to be an important thing again between us punks.
Yea, it seemed to have died for a while there. I was talking to some of the older people in the scene, it seemed that the 90's were never good for the scene. Unity died, not many new bands were coming out. Now it appears the underground network is growing and branching out more. Which is good. We may see a big bang in bands soon.
I have the same feeling, that would be so great. Me and my frineds are starting a punk band, a real punk band. not that blink 182 shit. and unity is gonna be one of our biggest messages.
Meh, i've lived half my life on the streets since i was 12. To me if i didn't sleep on the streets for at least a week a month i would feel like somethign was out of place and missing. I'm a Street Rat, and living on the streets is what got me into punk and made me who i am.
Lol i'm not a big bad tough guy either. I weigh barely over two hundred pounds. Its this mental switch that clicks in your head after a week or so. It just seems to go off and you adjust any way you can.
Theres this place in New York called the freedom tunnle that i was planning on staying at for a while. Its an old subway station that a buch of street punks, and other "variations" of punk stay at.
I might have to check that place out some time. Play a show there maybe.
sweet story =]
around here that thing is just a dream. i think coz im young people think thats it jst a phase, and i'll learn if i got beaten up.
and plus..everyones too stuck up their own arses to help another person.
My thing is if your a punk, your a punk for life. You will always have the mentality and attitude of one. If you don't later in life, then you were never truly a punk.
that made me cry almost:)
That was a fantastic story. Made my day. =]
i think you should have been helped no matter who you are, but apart from that cool story bro
