I hail from South eastern Connecticut. I'm an hour and a half or so from Boston, 40 from New Haven and Providence.
I fell in love with Boston right after I went there for the first time in November '07 - after living in New England for 9 years.
I'm originally from Indiana and spent the first half of my life going between Davenport, IA to St. Charles and Chicago, IL. Those were quiet places. Now I live in a boring place. A cold, snowy, dead, boring place.
Word.
Central Scotland, in a little village with around a 1000 population. For the most part, it's a nice country place but I don't mix with the locals except at the summer fayre. Still, even so, you can go down the road, say 'Hello' and nearly everyone will return it. I prefer Glasgow though, where the people are generally less judgemental of differences.
