As much as I hate this store, Hot Topic will hire you with pretty much any hairstyle or piercing at all...
Most kids who go in there are posers, but it's a job.

The customers are, sure. haha. Normally the employees are cool (I'm cool!) but that also might vary depending on where you live, too.
Ironically, I think it's one of the top rated companys to work for -is that the Fortune 500?- (store managers get to go to HQ every year for a week, get to see all the new merch and give input about what works and doesn't, as well as attend free concerts all week!) and bonuses every quarter and double for certain months if you're one of the managers and exceed budget. The discount is nice, especially if you go through a lot of body jewelry or bleach. Or skinny jeans. Etc. Get the discount online and at torrid, too, if I remember correctly. yay.
It's just getting over the minimum wage sales associate level first. Most people in my area actually quit because they can't handle the work load...or don't show up at all. Waste of space, time, and payroll.

Fuck tutus, btw. run in the opposite direction, FAST.

hot topic was the most corporate awful job i ever had....they actually tried to call me in the day of my graduation from college!!!! (one of the highschoolers called in and they were kind of shocked when i said i couldn't make it-they actualy said "well could you come in after?"!!!?!?!?!?!!) if you aren't in highschool, don't work there. the pay is crap and if you aren't a kid the managers expect you to do their jobs for them @ your asscociate pay rate. i also always had to close on sundays (mop day!) because the kids would do "a bad job and get the clothing wet"...i work in an office as an accountant now, and hot topic was more corporate!!!! other things that suck about working there are the groupies (yes seriously. pre teens who think working there makes you a rock star) and that you get nothing (monetary) for high sales or helping your managers make their quarter.

I hate the groupies. I've seen some bad ones...haha.
My store isn't too bad, new manager who is way down to earth and rocks! The store is just in such an akward ("unique") location that they can't make up their mind on what we are trying to market and sell..all because of the navy base I live on. They actually took most of our dark street/bondage away! Which is dumb, cause that really sells haha.

I think working at CVS is more restricting (corporate wise) than hot topic, and that's probably why I don't see it as being bad. haha I get calls every week at CVS and they really follow up on that.. lame.

i work in McDonalds, my friend had a hawk and i plan on cutting mine and i don't think ill get any problems(gonna change my shifts to three straight days, that was the next 4 i can have my hawk up)

but just keep looking you'll find somewhere (Y)

Any kinda industrial job is cool i think. My work just gives me shit about my blue mohawk/peircings/tattooes but there are no rules against it. If you have some licenses like forklift and riggers tickets they wont care what you look like cause youd be a valuable worker not to have.

try an animal shelter, or a kennel, i worked at one for like a year, it's pretty good money, and it's pretty simple too, plus if you have animal experience people really admire that, it shows you're good to interact with other creatures so people won't think you're a homicidal maniac, and it's really easy to get hired, you can wear a hat though, the mohawk will get fucked up by the end of the day after playing with the crazy dogs.

I worked at Home Depot for a while and they didn't mind. I spiked it at work all the time. I was on the night shift, but there was a guy who had one on the day shift too. I'm not sure about Lowe's, but I would assume that they have similar rules.

go to a factory cuz most factories dont care cuz it aint like the public will see u plus if u get it cut which u should i ecourage everyone to get one but just flip it to the side i do sometimes or when im searching for a job i kinda make it appear like i have bangs which by the way doesnt look good but its presentable plus i havent shaved my sides in a while so it doesnt look like i have a mohawk unless i have a devil lock which kicks fuckin ass good luck guy
